LIME REALTY GROUP just wants to point out if there is a drawback to living in Southern Utah it’s probably the wild fire season.  After a long dry summer last year and a wet winter, there’s a lot of dry grass and foliage to fuel a wild fire.  Right now we have 4 that are burning in the state.  One of them very close by in the Dixie National Forest.

You may think there’s nothing you can do about these fires, but the truth is most of them are started by people who are behaving irresponsibly.  They make one wrong move and you’ve got an out of control wild fire.  The most important thing to realize when you live in an area like this is how quickly a small uncontrolled blaze can turn into a raging wild fire destroying not only the forest or outdoors areas around you, they can also destroy homes and worse…  They can end a life.

Make sure you’re paying attention to your actions and do your best to avoid situation involving flammable objects or open flames.

You can also follow the progress of wild fires in the Utah area by following this link to the Utah fire info page.

You can see where the major fires are actually burning and read up on the actions taken to combat them and get them under control.  It’s a fascinating field.

Education is key to take some time to familiarize yourself with what actions are and are not acceptable in wild fire seasons and be careful out there.  The last thing we want is for our clients, friends and family to suffer because of these forces of nature.
