Although Aretha had a long career, the sheer brilliance of her work makes her loss that much more tragic. We’re never going to forget her classic hits and the inspiring message she gave to the world about respect for women. She championed the cause of women even in the infancy of her career.
Aretha succumbed to a battle with cancer and passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones. It is to them we send our deepest condolences.
