LIME REALTY GROUP has heard rumors that this is the last year St. George will host one of the prestigious Ironman races! Of course at this point, it’s just a rumor as far as we know, but it’s one that’s spreading and lots of people are talking about it.
The Ironman Triathlon will take place this Saturday, May 05, 2018 and will last most of the morning and afternoon. There will be lots of streets in the downtown area closed off so you might want to plan your day carefully in order to avoid any traffic or road closures. Especially with all the road construction still underway.
As for this rumor… We’re not so sure it’s valid. Some of you may already know this, but last year, St. George was given two awards that were voted on by the race participants. And both give you the feeling that Ironman is here to stay. Here’s a pic of the two awards:
Best Race Venue Experience and Best Host City Experience. Both of these awards speak to the quality of our community. The people and the amazing landscape we’re so fortunate to live in.
