LIME REALTY GROUP wants to give you some tips on staging a home for sale and keep the cost down.

It’s true that staging a home increases its value on the open market, but the whole process can be expensive.  If professional staging isn’t in your budget, never fear because it’s entirely possible to do some DIY staging that won’t break your bank and here’s some of our suggestions to help you do exactly that!

#9. Shop Thrift Stores & Yard Sales.  If you need to buy some additional pieces to stage your home, don’t break your bank unless you’re shopping for furniture you plan to keep.  Instead, why not hit some thrift stores or yard sales?  True, you run the risk of finding pieces that are outdated or unattractive, but you might be surprised at how mixing and matching some of these styles can create a modern look.

Using a little bit of creative discretion can go a long way to making that “little ugly” chair into something interesting and attractive.

Here’s another tip…  Borrow pieces from friends and family.  You never know who has an attic or basement full of furniture they’re not using.  Be adventurous…   a deck can stand in as a dining table with a smart table cloth.  Even clean, appropriately scaled outdoor furniture can be used inside.

So before you spread yourself too thin trying to fill empty spaces, follow these steps and see if you can’t make something amazing out of very little.

And remember, Lime is the clear choice for real estate in the Southern Utah area.
