Starting with today’s huge release of one of the most anticipated films of the year, Avengers Infinity War! With 35 superheroes in one film, this one promises to be an absolute all out punchfest. Threatened by the galactic menace known as Thanos, Earth’s mightiest heroes ban together to prevent him from acquiring the infinity stones and becoming an all powerful force of destruction.
On May 18, the irreverent Deadpool is back with another chapter in his Merc-With-A-Mouth series. This time, he’s accompanied by members of X-Force and runs up against the time travelling Cable. Should be interesting.
May 25, sees the release of the second Star Wars Story chapter. This time, the focus is on character Han Solo in the film Solo. You’ll learn how Han made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs.
June 15 is the arrival of the 2nd Incredibles film. This time the family discovers little Jack Jack has powers and Mrs. Incredible takes the spotlight trying to bring supers back into the spotlight as good guys.
June 22 will be the return to the island of dinosaurs in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. This time, the team returns to help save some of the species on the island as it turns into a massive volcano.
On July 9, Marvel takes a second stab at the summer box office with Ant-Man And The Wasp. This sequel to Ant-Man now incorporates the Wasp character and although we don’t know the storyline yet, you can bet it ties in with the rest of the MCU.
Eighth Grade is a coming of age story by Bo Burnham and it hits theaters July 13 for those kids less interested in Super heroes and dinosaurs. In the grand tradition of young adult films, this one look like it could be outstanding.
There are other amazing films coming out this summer including The Meg, Ocean’s 8 and Hereditary. There’s quite a lot to see this summer and stay busy enjoying these awesome films.
