This is a historic time in LDS church history and it’s important to acknowledge such a dramatic change in the institution’s make-up.
The LDS church is the founding institution of Utah state and continues to influence the direction of the state as the majority of people living in the state are members of the church.
Conservative and careful practices allowed Utah to get through the recession with much less hardship than other states and continues to help the state build business and industry. Continued growth is great for the economy and helps Utah stand out as a place to build a career and raise a family.
President Nelson will lead the church during a time of growth and economic prosperity. We certainly wish him all the best.
